LABEL: Isolation Rec

Lowest Creature is back with their new album 'Witch Supreme'. Raised from the roots of their thrashy and neck-snapping debut album 'Sacrilegious Pain' the new album has a darker and more dismal sound of their own special brand of swedish metal.

They use their finely crafted songwriting together with their lyrical content to portray an unforgiving world full of darkness, sheer terror and uncanny environments. Since their release of 'Sacrilegious Pain' (Isolation Records, 2019), the band have sold out several physical releases of that album and have made their presence known by touring across Europe and the UK together with bands like Darkest Hour, Leeway and Cro-Mags.

Now following up to their highly acclaimed debut album, the band are hitting out with their second full length, 'Witch Supreme' which will be released October 27th 2023 via Isolation Records. Lowest Creature have once again delivered a monster of an album in their effort to stand tall in their dark and cold home in Scandinavia, which so clearly influences their sound and lyrics - the dark and cold winters tearing through their axes like a knife to the bone and the old nordic mysteries portrayed in songs such as 'Under The Night Sky' and 'Conjuring Demons'' leaving you in a state of petrification.

Recorded at Ljudkross Studio in Umeå, Sweden, the sound master Erik Lindberg and Lowest Creature took things to the next level. Mastered once again by Joel Grind from Toxic Holocaust (Sunn O))), Integrity, Mammoth Grinder, Midnight & more) in Oregon, USA, this album is a metal masterclass that has truly unified the sound.

Doodseskader "Year One"

LP - $17.25

STREET DATE: 11/18/22
CAT#: ISO037
LABEL: Isolation Rec.

The death squad marches on: Two years after entering the battlefield with their debut “MMXX: Year Zero”, Belgium’s Doodseskader are gearing up for their next fight with the release of their new album “Year One”.

What are they confronting? Their surroundings. Their own devils. Sometimes life itself. But while “Year Zero” showed singer/bassist Tim De Gieter (Amenra, Every Stranger Looks Like You,…) and singer/drummer Sigfried Burroughs (Kapitan Korsakov, The K., …) struggling amid the turmoil, “Year One” is a victorious testament of tackling life’s obstacles head first. “As ‘Year Zero’ mainly talked about our past and has a rather sad tone to it, ‘Year One’ is the voice of the people we are at this very moment”, the duo comments. “We’ve stood up, found solutions and tried to head toward a new way of living. It’s about growing up, fighting your demons and giving them a place to rest. Now that all of that is said, we can move on.”

Though still a relatively young band, “Year One” opens a new artistic chapter for Doodseskader – surely just one of many to come. As the 2022 standalone singles “GABOS / Nonstop” and “Still Haven’t Killed Myself” have already proven, these guys are not ones for standing still. They are a hip-hop act in one moment and a grunge band in the following, just to transform into a full-blown sludge or hardcore steamroller next. Sometimes they are all and sometimes none of the above – there’s no way to pin them down. “Being able to draw from different musical genres makes us who we are”, the duo states. “There's no specific genre we’re looking at. Great songs are great songs. It’s craftsmanship.”

Further expanding their unique sonic palette, Doodseskader did not only look back to the great bands of the past for inspiration but also made a conscious effort to discover fresh artists from all corners of the musical realm, sharing an open mindset with genre-defying and -defining trailblazers like Show Me The Body, Ghostemane and Ho99o9. While they kept their trademark reverb-drenched bass sound, they incorporated more production details, many of them found in techno – adding even more depth and dynamic to their crushing mix.

Written in late 2020 and once again recorded by Tim De Gieter in Much Luv Studio (Amenra, Brutus, Absent In Body), “Year One” is as much a declaration of war as it is a declaration of independence: Doodseskader are here to cut their own path – and you better not stand in their way.

TRACK LISTING:

  1. 1745
  2. Bloemen Noch Kransen
  3. It’s Not An Addiction If You Don’t Feel Like Quitting
  4. Less Of Everything
  5. Alive & Not Well
  6. I Hop You Find Joy In Your Ignorance
  7. Blood Feud

MARKETING POINTS:

  • Produced by Tim De Gieter (Absent In Body, Brutus, Amenra)
  • Mastered by Jack Shirley at Atomic Garden Studios (Oathbreaker, Deafheaven)
  • Members of Amenra and Kapitan Korsakov

LP - $14.00
LP UPC: 3053905982060
STREET DATE: 7/8/22
CAT#: ISO035
LABEL: Isolation

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Passthru is a five-piece metal band constantly diverging between genres and crossovers. Persistently abusing the thresholds and ignoring rules of the universal ideas of music. Their first LP release "What Does It Make You Feel" dives into a world full of sex, drugs, death, and constant fear of being alone. It is a wrenching, annoying soundscape of pure raw violence. The rawness of the sound was created in the woods of Norrtälje by the hands of the legendary Thomas Skogsberg (Entombed, Dismember, Darkthrone). The eerie darkness of the area contributed to the gnawing noise from sunlight studios that birthed the sound of Swedish death metal, discussions about communism, and his love for rum. "What Does It Make You Feel" makes no sense as much as it does, nothing out of the ordinary exists in Sweden. Both the captivating design by Ridge Rhine (Knoocked loose, seeyouspacecowboy, Wristmeetrazors) and the genius mastering by Audiosiege make the music more chaotic, disgusting, and weirder than it should be.

TRACK LISTING:

  1. Password Clementine
  2. Sever
  3. Hate To Feel
  4. Wallow
  5. Zero
  6. Inside The Shell

Bjorn Dossche of Rise & Fall and Chain Reaction on Redemption Denied and their new album "Where Dead Ends Meet":

Somehow, longevity is a rare thing in hardcore. Consider yourself lucky if your favourite band made it past the 3 year mark. What's even rarer is a band that pushes on - despite line-up changes, personal careers and the pressure of "adult" life - to deliver their first ever full length album almost a decade after their debut EP.

But, that's exactly what Redemption Denied did. And the damn thing hits like a sledgehammer. Granted, the subtle approach was never theirs, but on this album the vigor, determination and sheer power can be felt in every single song, every single riff and every single word singer Kasper spits. It's clear that while "Where Dead Ends Meet" was being written, Redemption Denied sharpened their skills and made sure their all out assault didn't lose the dynamics needed to keep everyone's attention, all of the time.

Their 90s CTHC (Hatebreed, Death Threat) meets Upstate NY (All Out War, Stigmata) sound has never hit harder, not in the least by the increased death metal influence that tips "Where Dead Ends Meet" over the edge of what's socially acceptable in terms of heaviness. The destructive aggression their music possesses, is more than matched by the apocalyptic, socio-political lyrics that strike a precarious balance between embittered and empowering. It's their testament, written in blood.

"Where Dead Ends meet" was recorded at Jupiter Studios in their native Belgium, mixed to perfection by Taylor Young (Nails, Twitching Tongues, Xibalba, God's Hate) and mastered by Brad Boatright (Ringworm, Never Ending Game, Integrity), and boasts incredible cover art by Ridge Rhine (Terror, Knocked Loose, Judiciary). To top things off, it also features guest vocals by Tyler Mullen (Year Of The Knife) and Bjorn Dossche (Chain Reaction, Rise And Fall).

  1. Prelude (To The Apocalypse)
  2. Testament (feat. Bjorn Dossche)

Sundowning “In The Light Of Defeat, I Cease To Exist”

LP - $17.25
LP UPC: 305390598213
STREET DATE: 3/25/22
CAT #: ISO033
LABEL: Isolation

“In The Light Of Defeat, I Cease To Exist” came to life as a humble, even shy idea. Could you trace back the initiating moments of this album, you would probably find an intimate, honest conversation between friends much rather than a musical scenery. Publishing the songs that were written in erratic, explorative songwriting sessions wasn't given much thought – at least in the beginning of the process. Now, ten years after releasing their last studio album "Seizures Of The World", a new understanding of the same musical vision that they shared all along brought the band Sundowning back together.

The Band that is now living scattered in Berlin, Hamburg and the Ruhr-Area was founded in May 2009 by lead vocalist and guitarist Christoph Wietzorek and has existed as the same outfit ever since 2010. Starting out young in the hardcore scene of the Ruhr-Area, Sundowning soon evolved into a solid institution within the European Doom-Metal scene. After several tours and releases, the members focused on other personal projects and the band entered hiatus in 2014.

While Sunn O))), Cult Of Luna and Amenra are still very recognizable influences, “In The Light Of Defeat, I Cease To Exist” is a much more independent and less constricted work than the earlier releases of the band. The soundscape is more consciously chosen and benefits from the individually acquired musical skills of each member. Wind instruments now support heavy, pressing guitar riffs. String sections underline choral, perpetuating vocals. Samples and electronic sounds provide the necessary contrast. All while the thematic subject is more centered and visible: the album continues the narrative of "Seizures Of The World" and tells us about moments of failure, our own weaknesses und unfulfilled longing and hope. Mercilessly, the conflict of living in a steady discrepancy of intention and feasibility is discussed and the adaption to these circumstances is disputed. The blunt honesty of the lyrics is the product of a matured and naturally grown intimacy within the band, that always infused the process that is Sundowning. The album could not have been made in any other constellation.

"In The Light Of Defeat, I Cease To Exist" is the second album of the band Sundowning and will be released into the world on March 25th 2022 via the band’s own label, Isolation Records. The Album was written and composed by the band, consisting of Christoph Wietzorek, Pascal Thönnißen, Markus Uhle and Sebastian Busch. It was recorded and mixed by Nikita Kamprad (Der Weg Einer Freiheit) inside the studios of Ghost City Recordings in the summer of 2021. The record was mastered by acclaimed audio engineers Keith Souza and Seth Manchester at Machines With Magnets, known for their work with Lingua Ignota, The Body and Full Of Hell, among many others. Full Of Hell also provided actual content to the record with singer Dylan Walker immensely contributing to the song “Imminent Ache”. The album artwork as well as the video to the first single “Imminent Ache” was directed by Sven Harambašić (Lingua Ignota, Soft Moon, Duma).
