For Denver’s FAIM, hardcore is not just music – it’s the jumping-off point for critique, growth, and catharsis. The background to this is music that can be fast and aggressive with biting commentary or slow, introspective and melodic – incorporating the best parts from early 00’s hardcore, crust, and post-hardcore.

Since forming in 2017, FAIM has released a Self Titled 7” on Convulse Records, a split 7” with DISCOURAGE and LIFT, and their debut full-length, “Hollow Hope,” on Safe Inside Records. FAIM has done multiple US and European tours, sharing the stage with HAVE HEART, MODERN LIFE IS WAR, CEREMONY, and JUDGE.

FAIM will release their next full-length, “Your Life and Nothing Else,” in 2023 on Safe Inside Records and will be touring the United States and Europe. It will be their last record.

Take It To Heart "Hymns For The Hopeless"

12"EP - $12.70
STREET DATE: 1/20/23
CAT#: SIR031
LABEL: Safe Inside

Forming in the summer of 2019, Take It To Heart is among a new wave of socal hardcore proudly carrying the Orange County banner. Drawing from bands like Bane, Comeback Kid, and Killing The Dream, the band brings the emotive fury of the early 2000’s into the modern era. In early 2020, they appeared on the local scene with their debut EP The Brighter Side, joining the ranks of Safe Inside Records shortly after. 2021 saw Take It To Heart return to live shows post-pandemic with the rest of hardcore, cutting their teeth opening for acts such as Dare, Berthold City, and the UK’s own Higher Power.

During this time, the band also wrote and recorded their upcoming sophomore effort Hymns For The Hopeless. Expanding on their previous work, it delivers a fusion of melancholy melody and unrelenting pace in a neat but dynamic 6-track package. Hymns runs the sonic gamut of the era it reflects - from emotional stage-dive anthems to dissonant metallic precision. The record is slated to drop digitally through Safe Inside mid-August, physical formats to be made available later on in the year.

Rejection Pact "Can We Wait?"

LP - $13.35
STREET DATE: 12/16/22
CAT#: SIR-034
LABEL: Safe Inside

Rejection Pact’s new album “Can We Wait?” is the 12” follow up and natural progression from their previous 7” release “Threats of the World.” In familiar fashion, the songs leave no room for filler with the 13 track album clocking in under 20 minutes. The new album leans much more into social & political issues with every song fitting a cohesive theme that begs the question “CAN WE WAIT?”

The group pulls in influences ranging from politically charged punk acts like Propagandhi & Bad Religion to more straight forward hardcore acts like Bane & Have Heart, as well as drawing heavily from PNW hardcore legends Go It Alone.

The album was record by Ryan Morgan of Misery Signals at the Tonic Room in Boise, ID throughout the spring-summer-fall of 2021, and it was mixed by Taylor Young at the Pit Recording Studio, and mastered by Nick Townsend of Infrasonic Mastering in Los Angeles, CA.

In a wave where so many hardcore bands are leaning into the heavier/mosh sound, “CAN WE WAIT?” is a politically charged, pissed off journey that doesn’t waste any time sugar coating it’s message, and will have you singing along and stage diving in no time.

  1. Imperative
  2. Hollow Ethos
